EIO STEM Series— Equity and Inclusion in Action: Job description and setting the stage for successful hiring

This session’s topic:

Job description and setting the stage for successful hiring

This session is part of the UBC Equity & Inclusion Office’s Equity and inclusion in action: STEM series.

Are you faculty, staff, a post-doc scholar or a graduate student leading or supporting an Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) initiative in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM)? Join the UBC EIO‘s virtual, informal, themed, community-of-practice sessions to help you create action within your unit.

Themes this year will range from considering EDI within your research program, to setting up inclusive search processes for faculty and staff. This series has been developed specifically for people who lead and support EDI within STEM fields (e.g. Faculty of Sciences, Faculty of Applied Science, Land and Food Systems, Forestry, Pharmacy and Medicine) and who already have some competencies in EDI-related topics.
