Biography:

Roger Tam obtained his Ph.D. in computer science in 2004 from the University of British Columbia (UBC) in the research areas of computational geometry, shape modelling, and visualization. He joined the UBC Department of Radiology as a faculty member in 2007. In 2018, he became a founding member of the UBC School of Biomedical Engineering, which has been his home department since 2022. His research interests centre on image analysis, machine learning, and personalized medicine. His teaching interests focus on experiential learning and engineering design.
